Role Overview: As the Assistant Technical Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the technical management team throughout all phases of projects—from tender to post-contract. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Compile Pre-Construction Information Packs, O&M manuals, and H&S files.
* Assist in gathering QA records for final documentation packs.
* Review and verify all technical drawings.
* Monitor sub-contractor approvals and maintain an up-to-date approvals schedule.
* Update and coordinate technical reports and schedules.
* Establish and manage the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
* Provide training for new Technical Administrators.
* Collaborate with the construction team on Logistics Plans.
* Liaise with local authorities and warranty providers for necessary approvals.
* Maintain schedules for local authority and warranty approvals.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and keep documentation current.
* Manage the approval process for Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs).
* Support effective information management and assist consultants and subcontractors with the EDMS.
* Attend site meetings and handle Requests for Information (RFIs) in coordination with the Technical Manager.
