Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a nurturing and devoted Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to work within a vibrant ‘Good’ Ofsted rated SEND School. This exciting new role is to start ASAP on a full-time long term basis. This unique school is an ambitious setting for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe and complex needs, many of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum. The staff here make a positive impact on children’s education.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and/or small group support to reinforce learning expectations
* Offer personalised assistance to students Speech, language and Communication (SLCN), Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
* Help implement and monitor any Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
* Help provide a safe, stimulating and structured environment
* Support students in managing their behaviour and regulating their emotions following the school behaviour policy
* Maintain clear and professional communication with other colleagues, professionals and parents/carers regarding student progress, well-being and any arising issues
* Assist in preparing teaching materials and classroom resources
* Keep accurate records of student activities, progress and behaviour
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
* Experience working with children with SEND within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 3 months of experience)
* Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
* You can demonstrate a patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children
* You have excellent communication and teamwork skills
