Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bucknell for an Operational Support Co-ordinator. The Operational Support Co-ordinator will be responsible for liaising with suppliers and purchasing the day-to-day products required for customer orders. There will also be a requirement to assist with reporting and general admin support for the operational management team. This will be a fast-paced role so we need someone who can remain calm under pressure - experience of Sage 200 would also be advantageous.
Key Duties
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic supply partners.
* Responding speedily to requests from the sales team for cost and availability on non-standard material for use in our manufactured products.
* Raising purchase orders for finished goods and ancillary items from third party suppliers to complete customer orders.
* Co-ordinating deliveries of finished goods from third party suppliers to ensure that customer expectations are met.
* Fielding incoming customer calls to alleviate pressure on sales and ops teams and ensure “3 ring” target is met.
* Driving continuous improvement with regards to operational processes and procedures.
* Supporting our social media activity.
* Supporting with accurate collation of data to ensure reporting needs are met.
* Any other day-to-day tasks as deemed necessary by Production Manager and Transport Manager to provide support and ensure maximum efficiency.
Candidate Requirements:
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Purchasing and procurement experience preferred but not essential.
* A strong attention to detail is a necessity for this role.
