Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Product Director to lead our Collections & Customer Management division in the UK&I. This strategic role is responsible for driving product innovation, enhancing operational performance, and managing a high-stakes portfolio with a $50 million P&L. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the collections market, a proven track record in product leadership, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and competitive landscapes. Your expertise will steer the direction of our collections products, ensuring they not only meet but exceed market and customer expectations.

Core Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term objectives and market trends in the collections space.
* Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the product portfolio, ensuring competitive differentiation and customer-centric solutions.
* Oversee a $50 million portfolio, ensuring robust financial performance, cost optimisation, and revenue growth.
* Collaborate with finance and operations teams to set targets, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
* Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and development through to launch, performance optimisation, and eventual retirement.
* Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Leverage industry insights and customer feedback to refine product offerings and enhance market positioning.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including technology, marketing, sales, compliance, and customer service to ensure alignment and effective execution of product strategies.
* Act as a key spokesperson and thought leader on collections, representing the company at industry events and in external forums.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Owners, fostering innovation and execution excellence.
* Establish clear performance metrics and drive a collaborative environment that encourages cross-departmental synergy.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience:
* A proven track record in the collections industry, with deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and emerging technological trends.
* Experience in managing significant product portfolios, ideally with a P&L responsibility of a similar scale.
* Demonstrated experience in a senior product management role with a focus on strategic planning, market analysis, and innovation.
* Experience of owning roadmaps.
* A strong understanding of basic UX approaches and Agile development.
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
* Experience working with financial metrics and KPIs to steer product profitability and performance.
* Excellent analytical capabilities, with a penchant for using data and market intelligence to inform decision-making.
* Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Desirable:
* Previous Experience in migrating clients from old product versions to new products.
* Understanding the collections from different segments beyond financial services
* Knowledge of the Public Sector
