With a proven track record of success, Logika Group has been involved with UK Government expert groups and European Commission working groups, provided expert evidence at Public Inquiries, and helped clients gain planning consent for thousands of projects.
The Role
This will be the key senior role across the company for our climate policy related work, with responsibility for strategic development, leading the growing climate policy team, winning and delivering projects and collaborating across the company. The company has been working with a range of clients in this space including advising a major multinational philanthropic donor on the cost-effectiveness of their climate investments, working with governments on economic incentives for climate mitigation and various studies for the European Commission. The Director will be responsible for building on our existing portfolio and skillsets to target further work for existing and new clients in the UK and overseas, including the UK and international Governments, development banks, philanthropic funders and other agencies.

The successful candidate will lead activity in these areas:
1. Climate policy support, enabling our clients to be at the forefront of the latest scientific and policy thinking, including:
* Impact evaluation of policies, projects and funding programmes.
* Assessments and models for carbon emissions and pathways to net zero.
* Regulatory impact assessments.
* Input into policy and regulation review and development.
* Cost effectiveness of climate change abatement measures.
* Economic analysis.
* National and city action planning.
1. Climate Finance, providing support and advice on environmental and socioeconomic impacts to assist funders and investors in prioritising investments targeted at climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Skills and experience we are looking for
1. Postgraduate qualification in environmental science (or related area), economics, law or policy with a minimum of 10 years’ experience projects related to climate change.
2. Demonstrable experience in a number of areas relating to climate change in the context of a high quality technical consultancy, including identifying, winning and delivering consultancy projects.
3. Specific experience of delivery for key clients and funders / clients such as international Governments and their agencies, development banks and philanthropic funders.
4. Experience in both the mitigation and adaptation context.
5. Broad network of relevant contacts, both UK and internationally, including key partners and networks.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to write clear and concise reports in English.
7. Understanding of methods and processes for the development of climate and emissions policy.
8. Experience and understanding of international climate frameworks and agreements, as well as relevant legislation.
