Job Title: Product Manager (Payments background)
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh - Hybrid (2 days office, 3 days from home)
Salary: £60,000 - £85,000, based on experience
About the Role:
Our client is a leading fintech with significant growth plans for 2025. As a Product Manager, you'll bridge innovative technology and meaningful business outcomes. Your mission will be to align technological capabilities with strategic goals, ensuring every product delivers value where it matters most.
You'll work closely with teams across Revenue, Marketing, Customer Success, and Technology to orchestrate the design, development, and delivery of exceptional solutions. You won't just be managing products; you'll be crafting possibilities.
Defining product objectives that align with the company's strategy, you'll own the roadmap, driving its vision and shaping the features that will set the company apart.
Your expertise will guide product development from concept to launch, partnering with engineers to ensure every feature meets expectations. Collaboration will be key as you connect with colleagues across teams, turning shared goals into real-world success.
When clients seek clarity, you'll provide thoughtful solutions—whether responding to RFPs, guiding discussions, or presenting innovations at industry events. You'll be a storyteller, translating complex technical concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with customers and stakeholders alike.
Key Areas for Success:
* Product Leadership: Define and own product objectives, OKRs, and KPIs.
* Roadmap Development: Shape and drive the product roadmap.
* Feature Development: Lead product features from concept to delivery.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across business and technology.
* Client Engagement: Build trust and provide thoughtful client solutions.
* Strategic Insight: Offer industry insights and competitive analysis.
* Storytelling & Communication: Translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise: We're looking for someone with:
* A degree in a technical, finance, or business-related field.
* A proven track record in SaaS, finance, or tech roles like Product Management, Business Consulting, Services, or Engineering.
* Strong knowledge across the Payments landscape, including payment operations, PSPs, Card Providers, Safeguarding, eMoney, acquiring/issuing, SWIFT, PCI DSS, and similar areas.
* Experience in Product Management, Operations, Analyst, BA, SME, or a similar role within the Payments sector.
* The ability to turn business needs into actionable solutions.
* A keen eye for detail and comfort working with both data and people.
* Exceptional communication skills for simplifying complex concepts and building trust with stakeholders at all levels.
