Your new company is a fast-growing business based in Hungerford.
Your new role will work closely with the Director of Group Finance:
* Responsible for timely and thorough risk focused review of the group consolidation each month.
* Planning for the adoption of the most recent review of FRS 102 (IFRS15 revenue recognition implications) and any future adoption of IFRS.
* Driving continuous improvement in quality of financial accounting within the regions by identifying improvement points and monitoring implementation.
* Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual lender covenant reporting.
* Manage the technical aspects of the year-end consolidation work (multiple jurisdictions and currencies), disclosures, keynotes, statutory cash flow statement, impairment reviews, SECR reporting, dealing with auditor queries.
* Work with auditors to produce and review statutory financial statements.
* Be the go-to for technical accounting questions and projects around the group.
* Line manage a team of two with the responsibility of month-end and year-end accounting for Group holding companies.
* Maintenance of the integrity of Group reporting systems, completeness of cost centres, responsibility for chart of accounts, month-end transaction refreshes / transaction completeness.
* Overall responsibility for intercompany position reconciliations.
* Management (incl. forecasting) of Group holding company cash positions.
* Management of ERP TEST environments: access, contention management, regular snapshots.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Audit or/and statutory reporting proficiency, preferably gained in a Top 10 accountancy practice.
* UK GAAP proficiency - experience of multiple currency consolidation.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint working knowledge.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation with both financial and non-financial colleagues.
* Energetic, self-starter who relishes the challenges of a fast-moving business environment.
