Vida Education are looking for a British Sign Language (BSL) qualiifed secondary teaching assistant to work in a mainstream Preston secondary school. The school provides learning support to pupils aged 11-16 who are D/deaf but still have access to a mainstream setting and education.
We are looking a someone who is qualifed in British Sign Language (BSL) and ideally has previous experience working with school aged children, to support the class teacher on a full time, temporary basis. You be the direct link between the pupil and teacher so you will need to be competent in British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate with the pupils and also be able to speak with the class teacher to ensure the pupils can understand and continue with their learnings.
