We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Compliance Officer at Holland & Barrett. The Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the function to implement compliance programs, monitor regulatory developments, and foster a culture of compliance within our organisation. This role will support our Compliance Solicitor and wider compliance functionto drive compliance initiatives across our global operation, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry standards. The Role Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs to ensure adherence to compliance regulations and laws. Policy Development: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and business needs. Training & Awareness: Support the delivery of compliance training programs for colleagues across the business to promote regulatory awareness and best practices. Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Support with conducting compliance risk assessments, audits, and monitoring activities to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions. Incident Reporting & Investigations : Assist in handling compliance-related incidents, ensuring thorough documentation, investigation, and resolution in line with company protocols. Third-Party Compliance: Support due diligence processes for suppliers, partners, and vendors to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical business standards. Regulatory Research & Updates: Stay informed about emerging laws, regulations, and industry trends in the health and wellness retail sector, providing timely updates to the Compliance Solicitor and relevant stakeholders. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities as required. Location: This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to our London Hub or to any other location of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office The Person Key Requirements: Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices related to Compliance. Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Compliance, or a related field desirable. Knowledge of relevant global regulations (e.g., AML, Anti-bribery and corruption, product safety, sanctions legislation) desirable. Experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role within the retail, health, wellness, or consumer goods industry is preferred. Certification in compliance (e.g., ICA Compliance or equivalent) is a plus Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
