Whilst our 850 strong team of veterinary professionals are out in the field ensuring animal welfare standards are met within the UK and that the meat is safe to enter the food chain, we have a team of 60 Central Support heroes back at our Leeds head office that cover the central support functions.
We are 18 months into implementing our new Learning Management System (LMS) called Learn, and our new assessment platform, Assess. Having completed the integration process and gained a solid understanding of these systems, we now need to sharpen the pencil to ensure a cleaner and more engaging user experience, and add catalogues of learnings!
We are seeking a Learning and Development Co-ordinator to join the L&D team.
About the Role
As a Learning and Development Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role acting as the subject matter expert for our platforms. Reporting to the Leadership & Development Specialist, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the L&D team, with a particular focus on the LMS and Assess platforms.
Involved in ensuring we deliver a professional and intuitive learning environment for all staff your main responsibilities will be to:
1. Support the Leadership & Development Specialist in creating and maintaining processes for the efficient operation of the LMS and Assess platforms, including new and pre-starter enrolments.
2. Manage and coordinate the ‘Learn’ inbox, ensuring timely and excellent support for all queries.
3. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address issues and implement new functionalities within the LMS and Assess platforms.
4. Take accountability for the Learn and Assess platforms.
5. Support the L&D team to assist in day-to-day activities.
6. Ensure all content uploaded to the Learn platform is of high quality, including proofreading.
7. Creating content for Learn and add/edit assessments on Assess.
8. Provide accurate and accessible reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
9. Support the delivery of workshops and face-to-face training (optional).
Qualifications and experience required:
1. Experience in LMS management and support.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Teams.
3. Proven experience in LMS platforms – preferably Kallidus.
4. Experience in creating and editing e-learning solutions using Rise 360 and/or Storyline.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. A keen eye for detail, including excellent grammar and editorial skills.
7. Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
8. Supportive with a team player mindset.
9. Demonstrate flexibility, transparency, resilience, and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
10. Strong time and task management and problem-solving skills.
11. A delivery focused attitude with the ability to drive tasks forward and meet demanding deadlines.

· Part time working hours – between 25-30 per week – ideally worked over 5 days a week
· Salary banding is £28,000 - £35,000pa (based on FTE of 40 hours/wk) depending on skills and experience
