Salary: Dependent upon experience.
Job Type: Part Time - 32 hours (4 days) per week
This role is a hybrid role, with a requirement for a minimum of 2 days in the Castleford office per week. We are flexible as to what days are worked. Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
Cammax designs and manufactures touch screen kiosks at its purpose built factory in Castleford. We have a range of standard kiosks and also produce bespoke designs. We develop the software applications and customise kiosk hardware and peripherals as required. Cammax employs a nationwide team of engineers who carry out site surveys, system installation and comprehensive on-site maintenance.

We are a dynamic and rapidly growing SME in the transport and parking sectors, producing innovative self-service ticket vending machines, associated software, and services. We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. The role will be part of a small finance team in this growing business, reporting to the Management Accountant and working with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
* Performing bookkeeping and bank account reconciliation
* Calculate and process monthly prepayments, accruals, and journals
* Maintain the fixed asset register, including monthly depreciation charges
* Ownership of the monthly intercompany process, including issuing invoices, posting invoices received, reconciliations with other entities and cash movements
* Maintain accurate intercompany documentation and assist with UK Transfer Pricing requirements
* Complete month end balance sheet reconciliations ensuring differences are resolved in a timely manner
* Support other members of the Finance team with ad-hoc duties, including the annual audit
* Assist with the planned move from Xero to NetSuite and other Finance led improvement projects
* Additional tasks that you will have the opportunity to be involved in:
o Covering and supporting roles performed by other members of the finance team during busy periods and annual leave
o Taking on company-wide finance tasks as allocated from time to time
o Assisting in monthly and year end management/financial accounts
o Ad hoc financial analysis in support of the preparation of management accounts
o Assisting and supporting the quarterly forecast process
o Developing and improving finance and project systems.

* Good Excel skills
* Strong organisational abilities, experience of managing and working to tight deadlines and a hands-on approach to finance
* General knowledge of accounting principles, and technically competent with finance and accounting knowledge and skills.
* Computer literate, with experience in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
* Good analytical skills and the ability to adapt to change
* Good level of numeracy (Accounting/Maths/Statistics)
