Group Finance Director
Based on the outskirts of Hull, my client is looking for an exceptional Group Finance Director to lead, inspire, and develop the finance team to deliver outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with audit, tax, and bank covenant requirements.
2. Maximise cash management while maintaining operational effectiveness, providing weekly cash reports and developing cash modelling.
3. Provide technical leadership, and offer hands-on support when needed.
4. Manage external relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, and other stakeholders to minimise risk exposure.
5. Drive adoption and enhancement of the group’s new ERP system, ensuring post-implementation stability and long-term optimisation.
6. Lead and manage financial controllers across group subsidiaries.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. ACA/ACCA qualification desirable.
2. Expertise and knowledge of financial reporting standards.
3. Strong leadership skills, with 5+ years in Group FC or FD roles.
4. Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at working under pressure.
5. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
6. Excellent communication and storytelling skills to influence and inform business decisions.
