About the Role
The HSE Coordinator will support the development of the company’s HSE management system, safe systems of work and associated documentation. They will assist with monitoring the application of safe systems within the company and undertakes inspections and audits etc; all aimed at ensuring full compliance with the company management systems and applicable legislation.
Responsibilities
* Conduct site HSE audits and inspections onsite to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
* Support incident Investigation process (where applicable)
* Support Safe system of work review – Risk assessment, BASIX, and associated procedures.
* Support with COSHH, Noise and HAVS Risk Assessments.
* Collate and record Safety Observations, Interventions and Start card data and communicate to all departments monthly.
* Support collation of environmental data to support the organisations goals and objectives. In line with environmental aspects and impacts.
* Promote workforce engagement in all HSE activities, initiatives, and campaigns.
* Deploy and collate, weekly, monthly workshop checks (Lifting, overhead crane, Equipment Checks)
* Collate and produce statutory records as required.
* Updating electronic systems, Q-Pulse, and IMS.
* Support collation of HSE Statistics to input to various meetings.
* Support DSE Assessment completion.
* Support Emergency Response checks (First aid, Fire Marshal, and Defib Including Oxygen)
* Attend various HSE related meetings and take meeting minutes.
* Ad hoc General office activities.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate or Equivalent (desirable not essential)
* Internal auditor qualification (desirable)
* Formal Accident / Incident Investigation Training (desirable)
Experience
* Strong knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
* Previous HSE experience in a related industry is desirable
* Ideally experienced in hands-on operations/site based HSE role but not essential
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages

* Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both internally and with external parties including clients, auditors, and regulators.
* Possess good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Experience in a fast-paced work environment
* Competent in risk assessment and risk management
* Proficient in the use of management systems
* Self – motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
