We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Developer to join the Distribution team in Maidstone. In this role you will build and maintain long-term sustainable trading relationships with a defined panel of brokers. You will be the primary point of contact for these brokers, coordinating Allianz’s proposition to market, and enabling profitable growth of the account in line with branch and team plans.
This role offers hybrid working options: 2 days in the office and 1 day in the market, based in Maidstone.

About You
In this dynamic role, you will lead broker relationships across the UK, focusing on Maidstone and London panels. You'll drive business growth through innovative sales and product strategies while collaborating with Allianz teams to elevate our market presence. With opportunities to engage directly with brokers and promote key propositions, you'll be instrumental in shaping our success and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage brokers across the UK, focusing on the Maidstone regional panel and a smaller panel in London.
* Engage with brokers remotely via phone, video calls, and face-to-face meetings in the market.
* Develop business through sales and marketing initiatives, campaigns, new product launches, and existing product reintroductions with your panel of agreed intermediaries.
* Liaise with various Allianz teams to raise awareness of business development activities, embracing One Allianz principles.
* Fulfill responsibilities set out within the Distribution Framework, ensuring defined sales disciplines are demonstrated.
* Promote our accelerator proposition, selling key features and participating in broker events.
* Maintain market awareness, monitor changes, and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
* Manage and appoint intermediaries across our broker segments, ensuring compliance with procedures, authorities, and regulations.
Essential Skills:
* Relationship management, networking, communication and negotiation skills.
* New Business or Sales Experience.
* Understanding of the customer and broker propositions offered by the Allianz Group.
* A developing awareness of the UK commercial insurance market.
* A developing awareness of business regulatory requirements.
* Experience of managing communication across all stakeholder groups and a wide audience of internal and external audiences.
* Previous experience of developing business in an intermediated environment is preferable.
* Working towards a CII qualification preferable.
