Nadeem is a lovely guy who loves to chat about lots of very interesting topics and is very knowledgeable. He lives in Newcastle and has a great family support network. His brother and sister are very supportive of Nadeem’s needs and spend as much time as possible supporting him. His sister is his advocate and aids Nadeem with all matters. Nadeem attends Mosque regularly, so this position requires an individual from within his community who would help him to continue attending Mosque and follow his Faith, which is very important to him.
Nadeem suffered a stroke after a brain haemorrhage in 2021, which left him with mobility issues and eye problems. Nadeem has worked extremely hard to get to where he is today and spent a long time at a rehabilitation centre where he learnt to speak and walk again. He is remarkable and has a “fighting spirit,” never giving up on the work he needs to complete to regain his independence.
Nadeem now feels ready to extend that independence and as such requires a personal assistant to support him with various domestic tasks and activities of his choice.
Nadeem was a very active man before his stroke and enjoys walking and exercise. He would like to be able to attend a gym and venture further afield to enjoy planned walks. As Nadeem’s PA, you would be required to accompany him to the gym or on a planned walk; fitness is essential for this role.
Some domestic tasks will be required, such as preparing a meal or assisting Nadeem in completing his laundry. Personal care will be required as and when Nadeem requires this.
This position requires a car driver with own car and a full UK driving licence.
Closing date: This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
