HAYLEY DEXIS are looking for a Vending / Warehouse Assistant to join our well-established and expanding team based at our branch in Carlisle. About the role: As our Vending / Warehouse Assistant you will support and manage your own local customer base, ensuring that the onsite vending machines are fully stocked and maintained. The role will require you to commute to multiple sites, where you will be able to build strong relationships with our customers and develop your product knowledge. A vehicle will be provided during working hours. We are looking for applicants who are driven to learn new skills, looking to develop a new career and are willing to travel and work on site. On-the-job training and job shadowing will be provided, along with opportunities for career progression. You will also be assisting with operations in our own warehouse, picking, packing and dispatching goods via internal and external transport. You will assist with processing of stock, including receipting goods, shelving items in the correct locations, stock checks and general warehouse housekeeping. A key member of the team, you will be required to liaise with other colleagues and departments across the branch network. Key responsibilities as our Vending / Warehouse Assistant will include: Managing and replenishing stock within the vending machines at client’s premises. Monitoring stock levels and ordering replacement inventory as required. Profiling stock requirements for each customer account and forecasting stock levels based on previous sales and trends. Interacting with managers and supervisors at customer sites, providing training and guidance on how to use the machines and software provided. Assisting with picking and checking of orders Stock-taking. Receiving goods and deliveries, loading and unloading of vehicles. Completing deliveries and collections as required. Use of forklift trucks and various machinery within the warehouse. Skills we're looking for in our Vending / Warehouse Assistant: Valid UK manual driving licence. FLT licence is desirable, however not essential. Experience of working in a warehouse environment would be beneficial. Must be PC literate – able to check stock on the computer system. Ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of a team. Good problem-solver, with good attention to detail. Good communication skills – must be able to communicate with individuals across all levels of the business. Customer-focused and driven to provide consistently high levels of service.
