The candidate will be working as part of the London team, responsible for delivering high-quality insights and data visualisations. This role will work closely with the UK and International teams from Sales and Client strategy departments. The main function of the role is to support pre and post sales processes by providing findings and recommendations based on the insights extracted from our extensive and unique search intelligence data.
This role is expected to be able to extract insights directly from Captify’s aggregated data set, conduct exploratory analysis, develop and test hypotheses and continually innovate through curiosity as no one client is the same. Visualisation is critical, we are firm believers of being able to story tell and inspire clients.
This role is also responsible for the data extraction, analysis and reporting of key market insights, delivering thought leadership documents. In some occasions, the role requires us to design research methodologies to implement new insights from our data, and or conduct traditional research with external partners.
Understanding client’s business challenges and how to approach them, using a wide range of data analysis techniques is expected, as the role will be tasked to deliver clear and compelling insights as an end output.
The role is deeply analytical and therefore requires an individual with technical ability to query large data sets, as well as conducting advanced statistical analysis. Experience working with data in the advertising and or media industry is ideal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing:
1. Work closely and consultatively with Sales & Client Strategy teams, to understand client objectives & challenges and define insight requirements and deliverables accordingly
2. Work closely with commercial leadership and other heads of department to align on business goals and objectives
3. Effectively manage workloads and delivery of projects to defined SLAʼs within a fast-paced environment
4. Maintain a high level quality of work across all projects, analyses, commentary, storytelling and visualisation
5. Be comfortable presenting your work to clients directly, including insight and research peers as well as senior management and wider business
6. Work with the product team on platform insight automations, new feature developments and requirements to increase efficiency
7. Critically appraise the effectiveness of Insight in delivering increased client revenue through win rates/upweights and account growth
8. Participate in the planning and design of new reporting and analysis products for internal and external use.
9. Communicate research findings to technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally, helping to build a dynamic and thriving insight community globally
REQUIREMENTS:
What you need to be successful:
1. A research or insights background with 3 - 5 years of experience gained in an agency, digital media owner, or an ad technology environment
2. Excellent analytical & storytelling skills: deep knowledge of data mining, segmentation and analysis. Being able to translate the data into compelling stories with actionable insights - making complex data analysis clear and impactful
3. Proven commercial experience in responding to and winning client briefs or renewals, demonstrating an understanding of challenges, goals and respective solutions and KPIs
4. Excellent written & verbal communication skills: influencing and working effectively with technical and non-technical audiences - asking intelligent questions
5. Experience managing teams of insights analysts and strategists
6. Exposure to working with ad servers, programmatic or digital analytics data for at least 2 years
7. A passion and curiosity in the data and technology space, continually innovating and asking questions
8. A degree in Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent desirable
9. Strong knowledge of business tools like Tableau or PowerBi
10. Deep demonstrable experience with SQL and or Python
11. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Exposure and working understanding of BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, etc.
12. Proven commercial experience with statistical analysis and experiment design and analysis is a distinct advantage
Preferred:
1. Advanced knowledge of predictive analytics/econometrics and/or attribution modelling
2. Advanced knowledge of techniques such as clustering, regression and significance testing
3. Demonstrable experience of Matlab or R for data modelling
4. Use supervised/unsupervised machine learning algorithms
