As a ward we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, experienced and a motivated paediatric nurse who is passionate about delivering high quality care to the children of Preston and surrounding area. There has been an investment within the area of which has resulted in us aspiring to have two band 6 sister / charge nurse's on every shift. Main duties of the job As a band 6 on paediatrics, Ward 8, you will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the unit and will work closely with the ward manager. The role is both a clinical role and a leadership role and as such you will be responsible for staff appraisals, the completion of the off duty in line with Trust policy, liaising with the clinical educator regards training, managing sickness and absence and performance management.
