Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an ERP Developer to join us where you'll support us with the design, development and support of our ERP applications, specifically Syteline. This role can be home based/hybrid with an expectation that there will be a need to travel to our Staverton, Gloucestershire site around 2-3 days per month as required by the role. NO AGENCEIS PLEASE The Role: The ERP Developer will design, develop, and support ERP applications, focusing on Syteline (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) and Visual ERP. Responsibilities include customizations, system integrations, and implementing new functionality. The role also involves large-scale ERP projects, such as enhancements, upgrades, and integrations with other enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities: ERP Development & Customization: Develop, maintain, and customize Syteline & Visual ERP applications, reports, screens, and dashboards. Implement modules, workflows, and automation solutions. System Integrations & APIs: Design and maintain integrations between ERP and third-party systems (CRM, PLM, WMS, MES). Develop APIs, web services, and middleware for seamless data flow. ERP Enhancements & Upgrades: Gather requirements, test, and deploy upgrades with minimal disruption. Optimize system performance and scalability. Project Support: Support ERP migrations, upgrades, and new feature rollouts. Assist in planning, execution, and process automation to enhance efficiency. Database & Reporting: Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports using Crystal Reports or SSRS. Optimize database performance. System Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot ERP issues, deploy patches, document changes, and ensure system stability. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work with stakeholders, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on ERP trends, propose automation and usability improvements, and contribute to best practices. Essential Skills & Experience: ERP Expertise: Minimum 3 years of experience in ERP development (Syteline/Visual ERP), including customization, scripting, and integrations. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SQL, APIs, web services, Crystal Reports, SSRS, Microsoft SQL Server, and ERP tools (Infor ION, .NET, C#, JavaScript). Problem-Solving & Project Management: Analytical skills to diagnose issues, manage multiple priorities, and support ERP projects from planning to execution. Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work with business users, IT teams, and vendors, translating business needs into technical ERP solutions.
