Protocol Education are looking for an SEN ICT/Computing Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team within the Walsall area.
The students that attend the schools all have either ASD/Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH)/complex learning disabilities or being identified as having a statement of an educational need or an Educational, health and care plan (EHCP). The schools pride themselves, as being part of a supportive federations, they aim to support every child in order that they can develop their self-esteem, achieve appropriate and challenging personal targets, and develop an enthusiasm for learning so that they can make the most of opportunities presented to them. All staff work to inspire, motivate, challenge, and support each pupil, no matter what their individual needs may be.
The successful candidate will:
* Plan and deliver lessons whilst following the national curriculum.
* Have a desire to work in an SEN setting.
* Be approachable, flexible, and adaptable, with a desire to make a difference in our students lives.
* Have the capability for supporting children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.
* Possess effective communication and relationship building skills.
* Be passionate about providing quality education care and support to young people.
* To intervene physically with our students, when required, using Team Teach trained techniques when de-escalation strategies have failed (full training will be provided).
* Demonstrate analytical thinking Improve the quality of pupils' learning.
* Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom engage and motivate pupils.
Qualifications and requirements:
* Proven teaching experience.
* Desire to work in an SEN setting.
* Effective communication skills and build good relationships.
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Full UK driving licence – desirable
