An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Care Group for a Patient Pathway Co-ordinator/Medical Secretary to work supporting the Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation clinical teams.
We are looking for a new member to join our friendly and supportive administration team with the personality and passion to complement the existing team's high standards.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach, possess excellent communication skills, must be reliable, well organised, and able to work as part of a team or independently.
Main Duties of the Job
You should be able to work with minimum supervision and have a cheerful, tactful, sensitive approach to dealing with occasional difficult situations. You should be able to work well under pressure, be motivated with a commitment to provide excellent customer service. Your administration duties will include managing correspondence (including audio transcription), actions from outpatient clinics and diagnostic results, together with facilitating the flow of information between the various clinicians and support services, where appropriate, to help process the patient's care pathway.
You will work within the Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation dedicated specialties to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring co-ordinated and streamlined administrative processes which revolve around the patient and their individual needs. You will provide cross-cover for other Medical Secretaries to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is maintained at all times.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE in English and Maths grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent.
* RSA Stage 2 Typing or equivalent.
Experience
* Previous office experience.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Previous NHS experience.
