Engineering & Maintenance Manager
Location:Avonmouth, Bristol
Facility Type: Energy Recovery Facility (ERF)
Function: Treats non-recyclable waste and generates electricity
Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £65,000 GROSS PA - £70,000 GROSS PA + annual bonus scheme (more benefits given on application)

Role Overview:
The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and engineering activities at the ERF facility. The role ensures plant availability, asset preservation, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while managing budgets and maintenance operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Engineering & Maintenance team.
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance to ensure plant reliability.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Manage budgets for operational and capital expenditures.
Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs using CMMS.
Coordinate contractor work and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for plant efficiency.
Support outage planning and execution.Requirements:
Degree/HND or equivalent in Engineering & Maintenance.
Experience in maintenance within the power or process industry.
Strong knowledge of pressure systems, steam turbines, and electrical generation.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and contractors.
Familiarity with CMMS and safe systems of work.
