Following the recent award of a major infrastructure programme in the North East, a leading cost consultancy are looking to secure the services of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with experience of using the NEC contract, to join their team in Newcastle. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOverseeing and managing all aspects of quantity surveying on the programme\nUsing the NEC form of contract, specifically option A, to ensure project compliance\nConducting cost control and budgeting for the infrastructure project\nProviding detailed financial reports and accurate cost forecasting\nLiaising with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression\nEnsuring effective contract administration and management\nImplementing risk management strategies to mitigate any potential financial risks\nSupporting project teams with commercial guidance and advice\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nSignificant experience in quantity surveying within a major infrastructure market (rail, energy, oil & gas, defence etc)\nProven experience with the NEC option A contract is essential\nStrong understanding of contract administration and management\nExcellent cost control and financial management skills\nAbility to produce detailed financial reports and cost forecasts\nEffective communication and stakeholder management abilities\nDegree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant qualification\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary\nComprehensive benefits package\nOpportunity to work on significant and impactful infrastructure projects\nProfessional development and career progression opportunities\nSupportive and collaborative working environment\nIf you are a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor with a robust understanding of the NEC form of contract and have experience in major infrastructure sectors, our client would like to hear from you.
