A look into the role Working closely with the Retail Technology Operations Director, the Operations Manager will play a key role in leading all EDGEPOS deployment and support activities, ensuring the solutions provided by Henderson Technology meet the evolving needs of our customer base. Working as part of the senior leadership team, the Operations Manager will assist with the development and delivery of the Henderson Technology strategy and organisational goals This role will be very well suited to a self-driven and organised individual, with a proven track record in leading an IT service delivery team, includingsupporting and delivering services across a geographically diverse estate. Working as Operations Manager you will: Lead operational strategy across the business and achieve desired outcomes through implementation of actionable plans. Lead and develop our installation, support and training teams, including hiring & training the best talent to deliver excellent customer service standards. Successfully manage all operational activities to ensure that installations, support and training service functions are performing effectively and efficiently. Work to continually enhance processes, systems and operating procedures to increase efficiency and service delivery metrics. Successfully manage operational budgets to ensure that financial performance meets target objectives. Ensure quality assurance measures are in place and that products meet/ exceed customer demands. Build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging positively to ensure that any challenges or opportunities are addressed to ensure team and customer satisfaction. Represent the company at key events meetings as required. Skills for Success Joining us as Operations Manager, the minimum criteria youll need is: Demonstrable experience of successfully leading a team in an IT service delivery environment. Experience of supporting and delivering services across a geographically diverse estate. Experience of engaging successfully with stakeholders at all levels to deliver business objectives, including an understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, and marketing. Strong written & oral communications skills. A high level of computer literacy and competence in using Microsoft Office applications. Full valid driving licence. The Attributes youll need: Self-driven and organised. Team player with strong leadership capabilities. Excellent communicator, able to articulateproblems / solutions effectively in a non-technical manner to stakeholders across the business. Curiosity & creativity- able to analyse and evaluate operational improvement opportunities and make evidence-based recommendations. It is desirable if you have: Experience in EPOS sales. Experience in an FMCG environment, ideally in convenience and forecourt retailing. Further or higher education in a relevant subject area (Business/ IT). Are we right for you? This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
