SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Bexley, London Contract Type: Temporary, Term-Time Only (39 weeks) Salary: Bexley 05 We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and thrives in a collaborative educational environment. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students with SEN by providing tailored support and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver targeted support to named children with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Support students during classroom activities to encourage full participation and engagement. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students. Liaise with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support. Required Skills & Qualifications: A Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience in a similar role. Good numeracy and literacy skills. Experience working in a primary educational setting. Proficient use of ICT to support learning, as well as familiarity with other equipment and technology. A solid understanding of child development and learning processes. Ability to relate well to children and adults and work effectively within a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
