This is an exciting opportunity to support the Colorectal MDTs. This role requires the individual to build strong working relationships with clinical teams around the Trust as well as other administrative teams. There is lots of opportunity to network and bring innovation into the current working processes.
Main duties of the job
1. To attend, minute and outcome the Colorectal MDT meetings.
2. To provide administrative facilitation of MDT meetings including preparing, organising and circulating agendas, and recording the outcome.
3. To assist and supervise the collation of all relevant documentation for team meetings.
4. To identify and be involved with coordinating appropriate patient referrals for discussion at the MDT team meetings.
5. To confirm MDT decisions to referring clinicians and primary care.
6. To maintain an attendance record.
7. To coordinate with colleagues regarding MDT actions.
8. Create correspondence as appropriate.
9. To organise MDT outpatient appointments and liaise with the clinical team and patients regarding this.
10. To provide cover for other MDTs when required.
Colorectal is both a cancer and routine specialty based in the Surgical Division of QMC. The team are extremely friendly, supportive and hardworking.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to A-level or equivalent standard A-C GCSE passes in Maths and English.
Experience
* Previous experience using all functions of Microsoft Excel.
* Efficient organisation of meetings and other appointments within a very broad and dynamic agenda.
* Experience in a similar role.
Communication
* Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
Planning & Organisational
* Good time management and works with initiative.
* Demonstrates an ability to organise own work schedule.
