The Role
Your role at Evident will be as a Research Manager. Research Managers are responsible for executing the research agenda as it pertains to one of five focus areas: Talent, Innovation, Leadership, Transparency, and Outcomes.
Leveraging the data produced by the Evident AI Index, Research Managers are responsible for end-to-end production of original research insights within their assigned focus area. Output will span short-form (250-word articles for The Brief newsletter), medium-form (2,000-word deep dives), and long-form (40-page reports) content.
Successful candidates will demonstrate equal comfort with quantitative (data) and qualitative (interview) methods and sources. At present, Evident is prioritizing candidates with demonstrable expertise relevant to Banking & Insurance—specifically how leading organizations in these sectors deploy technical talent, invest in technology, communicate digital strategy, and evolve governance, risk, and compliance mechanisms.
Most of all, we’re looking for candidates that exhibit intense intellectual curiosity and a passion for data-driven storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute Research Agenda
2. Ideation: prioritize new and novel analysis based on incoming customer feedback
3. Outline: prepare and present detailed project kickoffs for wider team
4. Analysis: work with Data Science to test hypotheses and develop support charts and assets
5. Drafting: author first draft of key findings, consistent with past work product
6. Peer Review: manage edits from primary reviewers, including founders
7. Approval: monitor “last mile” production leading up to publication
8. Actively Maintain Secondary Research
9. Monitor feedback loop from customer engagement team to shape future research priorities
10. Conduct regular outreach and background interviews with select points of contact across customers, prospects, and partners to inform Evident’s current world view of AI x Banking
11. Remain up-to-date on changes to the standing methodology to address needs / gaps in priority analysis
12. Define supporting assets, data visualizations, and interactive tools that drive the most value to our core customers
13. Onboard future analysts with <2 years experience
14. Manage analytical and writing assignments
15. Scale team and inform resourcing requirements as content library grows
16. Lead annual reviews and career progression, where appropriate
Core Skills
1. 5+ years of research and/or consulting experience
2. Experience covering financial services and or emerging technologies
3. Strong background in quantitative analysis
4. Excellent written communication skills and a proven ability to produce engaging content
5. Eligible to work in the United Kingdom or United States without visa sponsorship
Nice to have
1. Understanding of key issues facing leadership teams in global banks on topics related to artificial intelligence and/or other emerging technologies
2. Experience adapting and publishing primary or secondary research in different form factors (written reports, presentations, social media posts, webinars/podcasts)
3. Experience analyzing large data sets using standard visualization tools such as Tableau
4. Experience working with data scientists, engineers, and design teams to create supporting interactive visualization and/or rich media assets
