We are currently recruiting a Level 2 Social Worker for a 12-month temp placement to work within the arena of Adult Social Care within a specialised Adult Safeguarding Team. The team consists of Practice Leaders and experienced Social Workers who receive Safeguarding enquiries following a threshold decision being made. The role entails seeking further information regarding the Safeguarding allegation and then making a decision if the allegations require an enquiry to investigate the concerns or if the Safeguarding enquiry can be closed following further analysis and risk mitigation. Excellent analytical and written skills are required for this post, and professional decision-making and risk management skills are imperative.
The Level 2 position will be in recognition of your experience within Social Care including Adult safeguarding, Care Act assessments, and Mental Capacity Assessments. The position supports Older persons with physical disability teams across Staffordshire, which are community-based teams working with Adults over 18 years of age with a range of physical and mental health needs. You will be office/home-based, and this is not a patient-facing role.

On appointment, the post holder will be auto-enrolled in the Social Work Learning Academy (SWLA) and aligned to the appropriate British Association of Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework. The relevant SWLA ‘stage’ (i.e. stage 1 (ASYE), 2 (Social Worker) or 3 (Advanced Social Worker)) will also be agreed taking all prior Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and relevant experience into consideration. The post holder will be required to take responsibility for their own Continuous Professional Development.
