QUALITY TECHNICIAN
Location of Work: Wolverhampton
Position Type: PERMANENT
Hours: Mon to Fri 40 hours per week
Mon - Thu 6.30am - 2.30pm & Fri 6.30am - 12.30pm
Salary: £26k per annum
Main Duties And Responsibilities
You will be working on the inspection of all plated parts and polished brass components to ensure they are to a high company standard. Highlighting any concerns and quality issues to the team leader.
What You Will Be Responsible For
1. To carry out quality inspections of all finished parts to the company quality standard.
2. Ensure work instructions and procedures are followed at all times.
3. Liaise with others as required and assist as necessary in resolving any quality or production issues.
4. Operate the Gold line and colour change and reactivate work as and when required.
5. Report any issue to the Team Leader.
6. Strip chrome rejects and operate the jig striping line as and when required.
7. Jig & Un-jig components when required.
8. Strip bronze work when required.
9. Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards and ensure 5S standards are maintained.
10. Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company.
11. Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement.
What You Will Already Have
1. Solid experience within an Inspection / Quality role.
2. Experience within a plating department.
3. Ability to check vast numbers of metal components.
