About the role Working within the ICT Business Solutions team and reporting to the Business Solutions Manager, the ICT Business Analyst is responsible for requirements gathering, analysing business processes, identifying alternative solutions, assessing solution feasibility, and recommending new approaches across the organisation and preparing business cases using excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills to support system design, software delivery, and change in the organisation. Essential criteria Tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role Demonstrated experience in delivering ERP and CRM applications including migration and integration in complex environments Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving positive outcomes/results Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and liaise with staff across a range of functional areas, including proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills Ability to apply and monitor the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards Demonstrated experience with application development from inception to go-live and production support working within the SDLC Demonstrated experience in the preparation of system specifications and documentation Demonstrated experience in anticipating business needs and implementing innovative solutions to transform business processes Desirable criteria Experience in Technology One, Microsoft products including Dynamics 365, SharePoint online, SaaS based products Experience in driving organisational and cultural change and knowledge of change management principles particularly in a technical environment Sound practical knowledge of relevant best practice frameworks including project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile) A good understanding of the role and use of IT in Local Government and relevant technology trends Understanding of the ITIL framework or the ability to rapidly acquire a sound understanding of the ITIL framework. Current NSW Class C driver licence Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $103,939.00 - $120,314.00 p.a, 11.5% Superannuation, and will be negotiated commensurate with the skills, qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
