WE Talent are hiring for an Accounts Assistant for our client in Billericay. As Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in managing our clients purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes to ensure smooth financial operations. Key Responsibilities Process purchase invoices with accuracy and timeliness Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Conduct bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Assist with payroll processing, pensions, and statutory payments Maintain up-to-date purchase ledger records Support month-end processes (accruals, prepayments, VAT returns) Liaise with suppliers and clients to resolve queries Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices What We’re Looking For AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) Experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll Proficiency in Sage 50, Xero, AutoEntry, or Bright Pay Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Competency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications What We Offer Competitive salary £30,000 negotiable Professional development & training opportunities Friendly, supportive team If you're ready to bring your accounting expertise to a dynamic and friendly workplace, apply today Location: Billericay, Essex Job Type: Full-Time onsite WE Talent acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
