The Role – Deputy Manager
As a Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for children and young people in a residential care home. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading shifts and ensuring all policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards are followed
* Providing supervision, guidance, and support to residential support workers
* Developing strong, positive relationships with children to support their emotional well-being and development
* Managing placement plans, rotas, risk assessments, and key documentation
* Encouraging and supporting children’s education and personal growth
* Playing an active role in Ofsted inspections, ensuring homes achieve the highest standards
What We Are Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* At least two years of experience working with young people in a residential setting
* A full UK driving licence
* Aged 22 or above (as per children’s home regulations)
* A passion for supporting and nurturing children and young people
