Are you a skilled engineer with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for keeping production running smoothly? We're looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our clients dynamic production team. This role is crucial in ensuring operations run seamlessly 24/7.
What You'll Do:
Be the go-to person for production equipment and ancillary services during your shift.
Support shift team leaders with day-to-day engineering needs.
Perform daily planned preventative maintenance and unplanned repairs.
Fault-find and resolve equipment issues down to the root cause.
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for our equipment and processes.
Build strong working relationships across various teams.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Provide training and mentoring to production operatives and apprentices.
What We're Looking For:
Formal apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance engineering.
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
18th edition qualification is desirable, but not essential.
Competence with single-phase and three-phase systems, motor starters, control panels, and motors.
Experience with variable speed drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and drive transmission systems.
Proficiency in disassembling and assembling machinery and equipment components.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with maintenance management systems like Pirana.
A proactive attitude and the ability to make decisions when needed.
LOCATION: Near Framlingham (own transport is required due to location of site)
TERM: Permanent
PAY: £40K-£45 including 10% night allowance
HOURS: 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am on a weekly rotation
