We’re looking to recruit a line leader for our long standing company in the Church Stretton area. This is a full time position.
* 18:00 to 6:00
* Monday – Friday
* £13.00 per hour, plus £2.75 shift allowance
Main roles and responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the daily operations of the bottling line, ensuring production targets are met within quality and efficiency standards.
* Coordinate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and that each stage of production is operating effectively.
* Adjust equipment or workflow as needed to maintain optimal production output and handle any bottlenecks.
* Lead, train, and motivate production team members, ensuring everyone understands their role and responsibilities.
* Provide guidance to operatives on proper procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
* Organize daily task assignments and monitor performance, providing feedback and support to enhance productivity.
* Conduct routine checks on products to ensure bottles meet company quality standards for labelling, sealing, and overall appearance.
* Monitor and enforce cleanliness and safety regulations, ensuring the production area and equipment meet factory standards.
* Identify and address any quality issues, escalating to management as necessary.
* Ensure team members adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all staff.
* Perform pre-startup checks on production equipment, identifying and reporting maintenance or safety issues.
* Ensure all team members use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures.
* Identify and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime, collaborating with maintenance teams if necessary.
* Continuously monitor line performance and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
* Provide feedback to supervisors on production metrics and participate in improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records of daily production metrics, downtime, and any issues that arise during shifts.
* Prepare shift reports for management, summarizing productivity, quality control findings, and safety incidents.
* Track and manage stock of materials needed for production and inform warehouse or purchasing teams of replenishment needs.
Skills and qualities:
* Prior experience in a food/drink production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role.
* Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with production line equipment and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues as they arise to maintain productivity and quality.
* Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, with the ability to enforce them effectively.
