We’re looking to recruit a line leader for our long standing company in the Church Stretton area. This is a full time position. 18:00 to 6:00 Monday – Friday £13.00 per hour, plus £2.75 shift allowance Main roles and responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the bottling line, ensuring production targets are met within quality and efficiency standards. Coordinate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and that each stage of production is operating effectively. Adjust equipment or workflow as needed to maintain optimal production output and handle any bottlenecks. Lead, train, and motivate production team members, ensuring everyone understands their role and responsibilities. Provide guidance to operatives on proper procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards. Organize daily task assignments and monitor performance, providing feedback and support to enhance productivity. Conduct routine checks on products to ensure bottles meet company quality standards for labelling, sealing, and overall appearance. Monitor and enforce cleanliness and safety regulations, ensuring the production area and equipment meet factory standards. Identify and address any quality issues, escalating to management as necessary. Ensure team members adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all staff. Perform pre-startup checks on production equipment, identifying and reporting maintenance or safety issues. Ensure all team members use the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures. Identify and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime, collaborating with maintenance teams if necessary. Continuously monitor line performance and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Provide feedback to supervisors on production metrics and participate in improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of daily production metrics, downtime, and any issues that arise during shifts. Prepare shift reports for management, summarizing productivity, quality control findings, and safety incidents. Track and manage stock of materials needed for production and inform warehouse or purchasing teams of replenishment needs. Skills and qualities: Prior experience in a food/drink production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or team lead role. Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. Familiarity with production line equipment and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues as they arise to maintain productivity and quality. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, with the ability to enforce them effectively.
