We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational Teaching, Learning and Assessment Manager (full time role) to work as part of the Quality and Learning Team to support, develop, and improve teaching, learning and assessment practice for Further Education provision at Weston College. This includes, but is not limited to, class-based learning, foundation learning, work-based learning (including degree apprenticeships), and external/commercial delivery. The role requires a proactive individual - with good organisation and time management - to work closely with curriculum management teams so that apprentices and learners receive an exemplary learning experience. This exciting opportunity would be suited to someone who has detailed knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning pedagogy and a passion for supporting staff to realise their potential and improve learner outcomes. This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week. Based in Weston-super-Mare you will be expected to work across all of our campuses. Day to day duties of the role Oversee the quality of teaching, learning and assessment practice across the organisation for their allocated areas (this can include 16-19; Adult; Work-based Learning and SEND). Develop curriculum managers across class-based, foundation and work-based learning by building their skills, confidence, and capacity. Deliver bespoke support, training and improvement programmes. Assure and facilitate the effective dissemination of outstanding practice in TLA across the college. Required skills and qualifications A Degree, or professional qualification which is appropriate to the work. At least 3 years teaching/assessing/support experience. The ability to demonstrate high quality teaching, learning, assessment and/or tutoring in own practice. A teaching qualification (min Level 4), or work-based / foundation learning / sector equivalent qualification.
