About the Role
Reporting to the People Development Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our Fleet Apprenticeship Programme. You will play a key role in tracking apprentices throughout their programme and supporting their progression towards becoming fleet technicians. Additional responsibilities will include arranging college schedules, overnight stay planning, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of the programme.
You will also be involved in coordinating onboarding activities for new apprentices, monitoring and reporting on their performance, and addressing any issues or concerns to ensure their success. Supporting the People Development Manager with administrative tasks, compliance tracking, and updating training documentation will also be part of your duties.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in administration, including advanced Excel skills, external customer management, strong communication abilities, and a willingness to travel to engage face-to-face with fleet apprentices and stakeholders. You should also demonstrate excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
We are also looking for a candidate who can evidence the following skills and experiences:
1. Event planning skills in public and professional environments
2. Experience in using Excel to track and analyse apprentice progress throughout the programme.
3. Ability to work independently and use initiative to solve problems.
4. Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with apprentices, managers, and external partners.
5. Experience in delivering or supporting development programmes within a structured framework.
6. An understanding of apprenticeship standards and compliance requirements
7. Time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Flexible working with the willingness to travel - therefore must be able to work on own initiative to plan and progress daily tasks.
9. A background in supporting educational or training programmes, particularly within technical or vocational sectors, would be advantageous.
