Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for cash collection operations in cooperation with our local sales and finance management. As part of our commitment to your development, you will also gain exposure in cross-functional and process improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Full cycle of accounts receivable past due balances, including: research, analysis, and calling customers.
2. Reconciling AR account(s) and managing invoice discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate receivables.
3. Managing internal and external Accounts Receivable inquiries.
4. Maintaining customer relationships by responding timely and accurately to both internal (company) and external (customers) questions and requests for information.
5. Creating and implementing standard operating procedures and process workflows.
6. Timely reporting via weekly metrics and providing status updates on customer accounts and projects.
7. Analyzing processes, recommending improvements, and managing internal controls on documents.
8. Continually looking for ways to improve the customer experience.
9. Earning the trust of your external and internal customers, thereby building long-lasting relationships to reinforce Amazon’s customer centricity.
10. Maintaining vendor relationships by responding quickly and accurately to both internal (company) and external (vendor) questions and requests for information.
11. Assisting in identifying process inefficiencies and making recommendations for process improvements for timely vendor payment and inquiry responses.
12. Developing knowledge around vendor term agreements to implement sound prioritization methodologies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
- Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
