As an Apprentice, you will be required to provide administrative support to the Endoscopy booking team and pre-assessment team, assisting with contacting patients due to come in for their procedures and ensuring all Trust systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
You will work alongside the pre-assessment team to help with any administrative work such as creating the information packages and rebooking appointments where appropriate. The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative duties as the services develop.
Working closely with Yeovil College, our Apprentices gain the technical knowledge, practical experience, wider skills, and behaviours they need for their immediate and future job roles, providing opportunities to develop and progress whilst gaining a variety of transferrable skills, learning job-specific skills and more.
You need at least two GCSEs at grade 4 (C), including English Language. If you do not have GCSE Maths at grade 4 (C), you will complete Level 2 Functional Skills. During your apprenticeship, you will have the full support of your line manager and colleagues alongside the support of your college mentor/assessor.
You must meet the eligibility and enrolment criteria and be able to provide certification of your qualifications and be a UK resident or have the right to remain and work in the UK that has been held for the past 3 years.
Main duties of the job
As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn skills, knowledge, and behaviours that allow you to:
* Use appropriate systems and resources to enable you to deliver consistent customer service interactions
* Build your product and service knowledge whilst meeting various regulations and legislation
* Be open to feedback that enables you to develop yourself and your organisational skills
You will provide general admin support to the booking officers and pre-assessment team in endoscopy and will work closely with both teams to form relationships and create a smooth process.
The apprentice will support with booking and rearranging endoscopy appointments.
Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.
Commitment to completing the apprenticeship training program and end-point assessment within the time frame.
