As the Soft Services Manager for ISS Facility Services - Healthcare, you’ll lead the Ward Hostess, Cleaning, and Operational services for the NHS Trust contract.
Job Description
In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Site Services Manager to drive both growth and profitability, ensuring that every service aligns with our commitment to excellence across healthcare environments.
Your work will directly impact the experiences of patients, staff, and visitors by setting and maintaining the highest standards across all service areas.
Your leadership will play a central role in developing a multi-disciplinary team from various backgrounds, promoting a culture of collaboration and adaptability as you support necessary service improvements.
Financial accountability is also key, with responsibilities including resource management, meeting budget goals, and identifying cost-effective solutions to optimise performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular site audits and spot checks to ensure service delivery across cleaning, ward services, grounds, and windows aligns with SLAs.
2. Enforce hygiene and work standards throughout clinics and bedded units, maintaining compliance with hygiene regulations and staff conduct policies.
3. Set, communicate, and review objectives for the team to align with business goals and uphold the professional image of the service.
4. Monitor performance standards, especially for National Standards of Cleaning, Infection Control, Food Safety, and COSHH regulations.
5. Maintain accurate records for employee matters, including attendance, disciplinary actions, and other statutory documentation.
6. Respond proactively to customer needs and support improvements in service quality.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
1. Experience in a Soft Services role.
2. People management skills and experience.
3. Knowledge of cleaning services.
4. Understanding of other FM (Facilities Management) services.
5. Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively.
