Job Description
Following a period of growth, we are currently working in partnership with a leading Housing Association based in the East Midlands who are recruiting for 3 x Procurement Business Partners. 1 x FTC and 2 x Permanent
This position is due to start accordingly to availability, is paying a salary banding of: £47,962 per annum rising to £50,00 upon successfully passing the probationary period.
This role offers minimum 1 day in the office per week.
The successful candidate will ideally be at least CIPS level 4 or actively studying working towards their qualifications. They will also have a good understanding of public sector procurement and know of the Procurement Acts
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Support the Procurement Manager and work in a team of seven working to tight deadlines in order meet deliverables across the organisation
* Managing around 10 live procurements at any given time from, which will vary in stages as well as value: Low – up to £25k, Mid - £25k - £250k, High - £250k+
* Support in developing the strategies and applying the strategies to all procurements
* Ensure that all procurements are conducted in line with legislation and internal policies
* Identify risks and potential compliance issues, to secure final resolution and business sign off
* Manage the administrative tasks such as award notices, contract signing upload the contract on to the register and portal and set up the supplier
* Ensure that full hand over is conducted from the point of contract sign off to the Contract Manager
Experience required:
* Minimum 3 years working in public sector procurement
* Experience conducting major procurement exercises in a multitude of categories
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
* Working knowledge of procurement law
* Enhanced understanding and experience of public contract regulations and procurement bill 2003 and procurement act 2004
* Experience and high-level knowledge of e-procurement portals and p2p systems
* Experience managing contracts and delivering improved supplier performance
