The Role
1. This role involves primarily working on motorways, with 90% of the work dedicated to this task.
2. Be responsible for picking up loads from the plant and delivering them to the designated sites promptly and efficiently.
3. Transporting materials and equipment for central reservation repairs to designated sites, predominantly on motorways.
4. Operating the Hiab crane efficiently and safely.
5. Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
6. Occasionally working night shifts as required by project demands.
7. Ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
8. Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C) essential, but Class 1 licence (category C+E) is preferred.
9. Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
10. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
11. Have a minimum of 2 years proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
12. Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
13. Proven experience as a Hiab Driver, preferably with motorway repair experience.
14. Valid Hiab license, with ALLMI or NPORS accreditations only.
15. Ability to work away from home, staying in paid hotel accommodation (shared room) or tramping and being accustomed to nights out in the cab.
16. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
17. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
