As part of our growth we are looking for a Director, Manufacturing Operations Manager and Site Lead at our Washington, Tyne & Wear site - where you will be part of a global, and best in class operations team fighting fraud and piracy!
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As Site Leader, you ensure that production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest quality standards. Your strategic oversight and leadership drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing practices. By optimizing resource allocation and streamlining operations, you significantly enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Your commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment fosters a culture of excellence and accountability. Ultimately, your role is crucial in delivering high-quality products on time, supporting the business’s growth and profitability for the Crowther site.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Lead the overall manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations for Crowther site ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
2. Develop and incorporate solid operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control programs into all manufacturing processes.
3. Establish the business cadence for daily and monthly reporting to ensure continuous operation of the site through the application of Crane Business System and have overall ownership of delivering the site improvement roadmap to drive operational excellence by maximizing operational efficiency.
4. Work with Finance Controller to develop operating budget, quarterly forecast reviews and support the monthly sales pulse process to ensure site delivers P&L and Cashflow objectives.
5. Plan and forecast resources for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce to ensure sufficient manufacturing capacity to support business goals.
6. Promote organization culture to meet the goals of the site. Engage with the HR Business Partner (HRBP) to effectively create and deliver a communications strategy for the site.
7. Implement and maintain an effective, efficient organizational structure to successfully support current and future business strategies through succession planning and execution.
8. Lead change management activities and provide strong leadership to the teams by encouraging diversity of thought, focusing on employee development and performance, and ensuring teams continually acquire new technology and management skills.
9. Guarantee excellent communications in organization at corporate level with strong internal communication.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.

You will bring work experience in Operations and Site Leadership roles with well demonstrated success in excellent negotiation, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels of the business.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required (engineering, business, or operations management).
2. 8+ years’ experience in manufacturing and production management with a record of success.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
5. Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in manufacturing.
6. Ability to set long term goals and communicate them to others.
7. Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
8. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
9. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
10. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
11. Familiarity with safety and quality control standards.
12. Strong communication and organizational skills.

6. Maintenance and Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
7. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports on production metrics for output, quality, and efficiency.
8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental requirements.
