About the role
Working Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, you will be planning deliveries across the UK, liaising with multiple customers, DFDS sites, and delivery points.
You will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing efficient transport plans to optimize delivery routes and maximise resources utilisation
Coordinate with carriers, drivers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
Analyse transportation data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings
Collaborate with driver workforce to improve key performance indicators such as infringements, miles per gallon, truck idling etc.
Occasional travel to other depots within UK
Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience within the logistics industry, alongside strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Experience in working with own driver workforce is key. Furthermore, you will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication abilities, proficiency working with transportation management software and tools and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to customers.
