The Role Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our client on an short temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 6 months with the possibility of an extension. We are seeking a highly experienced Tender Support Executive who will support the VP, Crew Hotels and Transportation, by focusing on procurement processes, vendor management, cost-saving initiatives, and stakeholder engagement. The TSE will work to optimise spend, streamline processes, and foster positive supplier relationships to achieve company goals. They will apply industry knowledge and commercial acumen to contribute to continuous improvement in crew hotel procurement, contract negotiation, and operational efficiencies but may also be required to support other procurement functions within ground operations if required. Key Responsibilities Crew Hotels Procurement (may also be required to support other Grounds Ops procurement functions) Utilise knowledge of crew hotel procurement to identify areas for cost optimisation and process improvements. Develop innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs in crew accommodation services. Provide insights and recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards within crew hotel procurement. Procurement and Commercial Negotiation Apply in-depth knowledge of procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency. Lead commercial negotiations with vendors and suppliers, securing favourable terms, pricing, and contract conditions. Develop negotiation plans, assess suppliers, and evaluate proposals to drive cost reductions while ensuring quality standards. Leverage innovative solutions to streamline procurement processes and optimise business operations. Stakeholder Management Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, address concerns, and solicit feedback. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, aligning contracts with the company's goals. Manage and prioritise multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of insights and recommendations. Cost-Saving Initiatives Identify and implement cost reduction and value creation opportunities across procurement categories. Lead initiatives to optimise spending, streamline processes, and enhance supplier relationships. Drive conversations with stakeholders to increase awareness of cost-saving opportunities and industry best practices. Evaluate business opportunities, market trends, and operational efficiencies through detailed commercial analysis. Skills and Qualifications: Sourcing and negotiation expertise with a focus on long-term supplier partnerships. Knowledge of procurement processes, budgeting, and financial management, preferably hotels and transport. Resilience and adaptability with a continuous improvement mindset and razor-sharp execution. Ability to influence and communicate compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems. Capability to build strong relationships and engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels (verbally and written). Ability to prioritise, maintain clear focus and provide direction in constant ambiguity and change, using knowledge, judgment, resilience. Excellent written and spoken English (Spanish is a plus). 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or travel logistics. Proven experience in hotel procurement, crew transport, and vendor management within the airline, hospitality, or travel industry. Contract Management: Experience with contract drafting negotiation. Cost Savings: Proven record of achieving cost savings in procurement or related functions. Working proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint. Benefits: Competitive day rate Hybrid working.
