Our client is looking for a business development manager to head up the sales team working alongside two other members. You will be responsible for managing your own workload and reporting back to the Managing Director.
The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of the local area and will have worked for a contractor before in a similar role with contacts to architects, cost consultants, local authorities, etc.
Most of your time will be meeting new and existing clients, networking with at least 1 day per week office based.
Role:
* Head up newbuild and refurbishment business growth across the Midlands in a range of sectors from Education, Care, Commercial, Conversions (not limited to).
* Generate new contacts and tender opportunities for the estimating team.
* Attend networking events.
Minimum Requirements:
* Full UK driving license.
* Good interpersonal skills to engage with clients.
* Confident speaker.
* Excellent time management.
* Solid understanding of construction and the industry.
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience plus car allowance (to be confirmed).
