UK Head Office – Manchester/ PERMANENT/ SALARY: COMPETITIVE
Job Purpose
To support product development within the innovation team. You will help to translate strategy into product concepts, ideas, and follow product development from start to finish.
This role deals with a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to the following:
Own:
1. Artwork and label design for relevant projects.
2. Factory Packaging/Artwork approval requests.
3. Factory briefing (own and support)
4. Maintain supporting tools and systems for product development, including trackers, mock-ups, PIM and organisation of artwork.
5. Own the sample requests and tracking of these.
6. Own the sample reports and feedback to factories.
7. Conduct competitor and market analysis and develop maps for use in the new product development process.
8. Own product room management – Reveal and Encore.
Support:
1. Support the planning of New and Existing Product Development (NPD/EPD)
2. Support Innovation delivery from full end to end lifespan (concept creation through to removal from the businesses range).
3. Escalate issues and risks within owned projects to the Project Manager and Senior Innovation Manager/Innovation Manager as needed.
4. Regional sales and category analysis to support range portfolio decisions e.g. Flash Margin.
5. Support development of ‘Go To Market’ trade decks – organisation, briefing of blue sky assets and communication with internal studio and external agencies.
6. Support Marketing Manager and Senior Innovation Managers in development /maintenance of Innovation Presentations and Innovation Pipelines.
7. Supporting wider Innovation Team with administrative tasks e.g. master range set up, Version Numbers, uploading to FTP.
Shape:
1. Innovation and NPD processes to ensure continuous improvement in tools that effect the delivery of products.

1. Any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of this role.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1. IT literate including use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook – full training will be given on in house systems.
2. Highly organised and can prioritise workloads.
3. Attention to detail – ensures accurate delivery of information and collateral in a timely and effective manner.
4. Personal Learning – Seeks feedback and reacts / learns from experience.
5. Effective Communicator – ability to communicate updates and issues.
6. Commercial Acumen – Understands the impact of costs and has a focus on profit when driving sales growth.
7. Work experience in product experience/FMCG/Similar field.
8. Ability to think creatively and innovatively using insight to drive activity.
9. Understanding of product development processes from within the FMCG industry.
10. Ability to analyse results from which can be used to come up with suitable solutions that can solve product related issues.
