Job Summary
The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army.
This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an organised and dynamic person to join a busy and welcoming Army Reserve Squadron within The Royal Wessex Yeomanry, Cirencester. The aim and mission of all members of the permanent staff is to always ensure that Reservists are able to train on time, with the right equipment and with all administration completed. The applicant needs to understand the wider picture, be pro-active and able to troubleshoot, often with little notice. This role is crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of the Squadron and is responsible for ensuring that the admin piece is swept up, be that for one reservist who is training, or one hundred.
The core role of C (Royal Gloucestershire Hussars) Squadron’s Administration Officer is to provide administrative and clerical staff support to the permanent staff and the serving reservists within the Squadron HQ at Cirencester.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individuals with strong IT skills. The ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines is key along with strong interpersonal skills.
