Key Responsibilities
1. Providing a thorough understanding of UK National funding programmes (Innovate UK, APC, UKRI)
2. Optionally, a good understanding of European funding programmes (Horizon Europe, Eureka programme, LIFE, EU Defense Fund, Innovation Fund, etc.)
3. Supporting the growth and development of the business – creating a network and portfolio of clients, recognizing business opportunities and being commercially aware.
4. Working with SMEs within various sectors including energy, environment, chemical, biotechnology, ICT, health, transport, manufacturing and provide strategic innovation and funding services.
5. Capturing and clearly presenting complex information in a written form to a technical and non-technical audience; developing robust project proposals, clear business plans and strategies for client projects.
What we need from you:
1. Strong technical academic background (degree in scientific subject is desirable);
2. At least 2 years' experience in Innovation Consulting ideally advising on or acquiring Grants and Incentives programmes;
3. Strong technical narrative skills, and ability to create concise, argumentative copy;
4. Project management capability; ability to coordinate numerous campaigns at once;
5. Passionate about supporting innovative businesses;
6. Team player and willingness to learn;
7. Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently and remotely;
8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce;
9. Self-starter, self-motivated, and capable of seeking additional opportunities;
10. Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize the sales activity;
11. Demonstrated ability to create, develop, and enhance customer relationships;
12. Demonstrated strong written/verbal communication skills (English with second language, preferably German is desirable).
