Description of role: TWI Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic Section Manager for our Fracture and Fatigue teams of specialists that form the Fatigue and Integrity Management (FIM) section. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing our advanced testing facilities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our operations and delivering the section financial targets. You will lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians, driving innovation and excellence in the testing of metallic structures. The Fatigue and Integrity Management (FIM) section lies at the heart of TWI's 75 years of excellence in understanding materials and joints behaviour under challenging environments. For more than 50 years, the section has produced deep knowledge in our understanding of materials performance. This knowledge has fed a plethora of services for TWI members and created worldwide value for all industry sectors: New ways of testing metallic structures have been invented Bespoke test rigs have been designed and constructed for the benefit of TWI Members New standards have been developed, distilling TWI engineers' knowledge into guidelines to test, certify and qualify materials and structures Novel integrity management tools have been created and still provide easy access to the combined knowledge of generation of TWI engineers Fitness for service codes to optimize materials performance and assure optimum value during life cycle of structures We are now seeking an experienced new manager to lead the FIM Section and continue TWI’s exciting journey in understanding materials performance and integrity. The FIM section manager will be responsible for: Maintaining TWI reputation for excellence, Fostering commercial growth Expanding our materials knowledge for the benefit of TWI members. The ideal candidate should have a degree in engineering in order to have a good understanding of our technology offering to our clients and influence TWI investment in technology. Commercial awareness is also paramount in order to maintain and grow the section’s profitability. Other attributes we are looking for are: Excellence at leading highly motivated teams of engineers and technicians. Provide guidance and support to the team in order to deliver projects to time and budget.
