Purchasing & Stock Control Assistant Due to continued growth, and on-going research and development projects, we wish to recruit a Purchasing & Stock Control Assistant, which is a new role within our organisation. The successful candidate will be part of the Procurement and Stock Team for our mushroom harvesting systems. The main function of the role will include supporting the Procurement & Stock Manager in all stages of our buying and stock management processes for all projects. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel internationally, as required, depending on the project and customer site location. Job Description Assisting the Procurement & Stock Manager throughout the purchasing and stock control processes. Purchase Order Management - issuing Purchase Order numbers, maintaining traceability of purchase orders, purchasing documentation Liaising internally with other departments to ensure purchasing requirements are up to date BOM estimations and quotations Liaising externally with the supply chain - ordering and contact management Sourcing and scheduling of items for all projects Ensuring on time delivery of items to meet project timelines Efficiently and effectively dealing with any supplier issues that may arise Receipt of deliveries, verifying items received against the Purchase Order records, signing delivery notes, moving stock to relevant storage or workshop area as required Stock control - issuing of stock, updating stock control records, completing stock taking Payment status for payment approval Assisting with packing and loading of orders for customers onto lorries Assisting the Installation Team in the workshop as required Assisting the Installation Team at customer premises, internationally, as required All associated administration for the role. Person Specification Essential 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role Experience of Purchase Order and Stock Control management Strong planning and organisational skills Strong MS Office, specifically Excel, skills Demonstrable problem solving skills Ability to work well as part of a team Desirable Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings Basic knowledge/ability of/with Solid Works program or similar program, to assist with clarification of any supplier queries. Salary expectations to be discussed at interview. Job type - Full-time permanent Hours- Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 1pm Note: may vary when installing on customer sites, and to meet project deadlines.
